The agreement secures continued joint operation of TGV Lyria high-speed services between Switzerland and France, a cooperation that has been in place for more than 45 years.

SNCF Voyageurs and Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) have extended their commercial agreement for the TGV Lyria service until 2032. The renewal builds on the current 2023–2027 contract.

The two operators stated their intention to further develop the cross-border passenger market and examine additional service opportunities.

SNCF Voyageurs and SBB cited sustained growth in international passenger traffic between Switzerland and France and the commercial performance of TGV Lyria as the basis for the extension. The companies will assess options for expanding European connections from Switzerland, including potential new direct long-distance services to destinations in France and other countries.

TGV Lyria links major Swiss cities with Paris and other French destinations, forming a core part of cross-border high-speed traffic between the two countries.
