Agilis has taken delivery of its final Siemens Mobility Mireo train, completing the fleet of 23 units.
The Mireos are maintained at the company's Regensburg workshop, which was modified and expanded for servicing the new fleet. Training for train drivers and service personnel on the new model has been ongoing since last summer.
Since the timetable change in December 2024, the Mireo trains have been operating as RE 50 on the Nuremberg–Plattling route and as RE 22/ÜFEX between Nuremberg and Munich Airport in cooperation with DB Regio. They have also been deployed on the RB 51 route alongside the Coradia fleet. However, the Mireos are currently not operating in the Danube Valley between Ingolstadt and Ulm due to structural constraints at certain platforms.
With this delivery, agilis now operates a fleet consisting of 23 Mireo units from Siemens and 26 Coradia Continental trains from Alstom across its central network.
