New multimodal route from India to Uzbekistan

The first freight train, comprising 20 containers, covered the 2,673 km journey in just 20 days.

Uztemiryulcontainer JSC has successfully organized a new multi-modal route for the transport of containers from the ports of Mundra, Nhava Sheva and Chennai in India to Uzbekistan. 

The cargo was shipped by sea from India to the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas. It was then transported by rail to Sergeli station.

The first freight train, which consisted of 20 containers of 20 feet each, covered a distance of 2,673 kilometers in 20 days. In the future, it is planned to reduce the delivery time to as little as 15 days.
