Austria: train services to resume on Tuesday including freight

Austria: train services to resume on Tuesday including freight
@ÖBB/Harald Eisenberger

After the final failure of the collective bargaining negotiations on Sunday and the 24-hour warning strike by the vida trade union, train services on the ÖBB network will resume on Tuesday at the start of operations.

ÖBB asks in their statement for your understanding in advance if there are still some restrictions, delays, or cancellations on Tuesday.

In retrospect, it can be summarized that the night from Sunday to Monday, every train could still be driven to its destination station. Accordingly, there were no stranded passengers. The situation at the stations seemed to remain calm on Monday morning.

Freight railway will also resume on Tuesday.

ÖBB will keep informed about the subsequent effects of the warning strike. Up-to-date information can be found at oebb.at/streik, on ÖBB's social media channels, and in the SCOTTY timetable information service.
