Siemens Mobility, in partnership with Hassan Allam Construction, has been awarded a major contract for the UAE-Oman Railway, marking a historic first for cross-country rail connectivity in the Middle East.


Siemens Mobility and Hassan Allam Construction have joined forces to deliver a landmark rail project - the Abu Dhabi-Sohar Rail Link. This 303-kilometre network will connect Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates to Sohar in Oman, integrating the latest in signalling technology and infrastructure design to enhance connectivity and economic growth between the two nations.

Andre Rodenbeck, CEO of Rail Infrastructure at Siemens Mobility, expressed his pride in the project: "We are providing our latest intelligent technology solutions to support the ambitions and vision of the UAE and Oman.

Ayman Ashour, CEO of Siemens Mobility in the UAE, also shared his enthusiasm, highlighting the project's significant socio-economic potential for the region.

Hassan Allam, Chairman of Hassan Allam Construction, added: "We are proud to provide advanced signalling solutions that will ensure safe and seamless transport between the UAE and Oman.

This project is part of a wider vision to connect the GCC countries through a comprehensive rail network, facilitating trade, improving logistics services and boosting tourism and economic activity across the region.
