Bettina Castillo, a business graduate, has 15 years of professional experience in logistics management. In her previous position at IKEA, she was responsible for global supply operations management, including the development and optimisation of goods flows. Born in Salzburg, Austria, she started her career in academia at the Institute for Production and Logistics Management at the Johannes Kepler University in Linz, before working in research and teaching logistics network planning and intermodal transport at the Kühne Institute for Logistics Management at the University of St. Gallen. From 2009 to 2015, she held various management positions at SBB Cargo and SBB Cargo International, where she was a member of the management team and also served as safety manager for transport throughout Europe. Since 2015, she has been working as Global Supply Operations Manager at IKEA Supply AG, the worldwide logistics arm of IKEA.

The former production manager of Rail Cargo Austria AG, Imre Kovács, remains chairman of the board of Rail Cargo Hungaria. He will also take on a new position as Senior Advisor for Eastern and South-Eastern Europe with the aim of further improving ÖBB's connections in these regions.
