As a next step in strengthening its value proposition in new markets, Samskip is continuing to expand its 'Multimodal Customer Care' model in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The new office in Prague will enable Samskip and local shippers to meet and discuss how to integrate multimodal transport into their supply chains.

Samskip's recent expansion in Poland was the starting point for rolling out this initiative in the region. Samskip's pan-European network is focused on the UK and Ireland but extending from Portugal to Iceland and northern Norway. The fleet of Samskip's 10,974 x 45' high cube pallet-wide containers provides fit-for-volume solutions that minimise the capacity uncertainties customers may face in their supply chains.

Filip Chajęcki, General Manager Central Eastern Europe: "In the Czech Republic and Slovakia, we want to develop partnerships with shippers who are keen to explore the sustainability benefits and opportunities that Samskip can offer their supply chains. Our existing customers already appreciate the high level of care and agile support provided by our teams and we look forward to making this our hallmark in this region. With our high level of care and use of digital solutions, we are making the transition to multimodal transport as easy as possible".

The team in Gdansk will act as a customer service and operations hub for the Central Eastern Europe region. As part of Samskip's customer-centric culture, the customer service in Poland will be supported by local speaking colleagues for the Czech Republic and Slovakia to promote care and easy cooperation with customers.
