HLG and Alpha Trains Sign an Agreement to Lease a Dual Mode Locomotive

Rail freight carrier Holzlogistik und Güterbahn GmbH (HLG) and leasing company Alpha Trains sign a single Siemens Vectron Dual Mode locomotive contract.

On the second day of transport & logistics fair 2023 in Munich, Alpha Trains announced that it leases one Vectron Dual Mode locomotive to a German rail freight operator, HLG.

The operator is active in hauling wood, chemicals and intermodal, and the new addition will extend its fleet of Stadler EuroDual and Alstom TRAXX electric locomotives.

In 2022, Alpha Trains announced a framework agreement with Siemens Mobility for two different types of Vectron locomotives for an undisclosed amount. One of them is the AC Vectron with a package allowing the locomotives to enter Scandinavia. The other one was for Dual Mode versions. HLG is their third customer, after Dortmunder Eisenbahn, and e.g.o.o.
