The company has reported a profit for the third quarter of 2024.

Green Cargo has achieved an operating result of EUR 1.53 million compared to a loss of EUR 3.57 million in the same period last year. The organic operating profit improved to EUR -2.89 million from EUR -8.33 million previously, marking an earnings enhancement of EUR 5.44 million year-on-year.

The group's net sales reached EUR 86.02 million, a 4% increase from EUR 82.45 million in the third quarter of the previous year. Profit after tax amounted to EUR 0.68 million, up from a loss of EUR 3.74 million during the same period last year.

Throughout the quarter, Green Cargo secured new transport agreements totalling EUR 17.17 million in contract value, surpassing the previous year's figure of EUR 12.75 million.

The quarter started with challenges due to a high volume of track works and decreased transport needs associated with the holiday months and economic conditions. Despite this, the ongoing transformation program began to show results in the form of reduced administrative costs. Alongside higher revenues and committed employees, these factors contributed to a strong conclusion of the three-month period.
