Over the past year, several services have been added, reflecting a broader shift towards integrating rail and road logistics.

MGE Intermodal, member of Groupe MGE, continues the transformation of its Blainville site near Nancy into a fully operational rail-road terminal.

Since autumn 2023, a weekly train service has been operating between Haute-Garonne and the Blainville warehouse. This service handles between 500 to 700 tonnes of freight using conventional wagons, marking the initial step in the site's transition.

In early summer 2024, MGE Intermodal launched a combined transport service connecting the Basque Country’s Mouguerre and Lorraine. Running twice a week in each direction, this service is operated in collaboration with Groupe Mendy and aims to enhance cargo movement across regions.

The upcoming service, expected to begin soon, has been developed in partnership with Trans’fer, a subsidiary of Lahaye Global Logistics. It will link Brittany via the Rennes terminal with a once-weekly rotation, further expanding the terminal's reach.

Both combined transport services can carry swap bodies ranging from 20 to 45 feet, increasing the terminal’s capacity to handle a diverse range of logistics needs.
