Poland’s Centralny Port Komunikacyjny (CPK) has launched a tender to appoint a contract engineer for the first construction package of the airport-area railway node, part of the Warsaw–Łódź high-speed corridor. Bids are open until 9 March.

State-owned Centralny Port Komunikacyjny (CPK), the company behind Poland’s Port Polska programme, has invited 20 companies and consortia to submit bids for the role of contract engineer for the design and construction of the first stage of the railway node in the future airport area. The tender deadline is 9 March, and the contractor will be selected on the basis of price.

The first package forms part of the “Y” high-speed rail programme, specifically line 85 (LK85) linking Warsaw, the planned new airport and Łódź. It also includes a connecting link to line 3 on the Warsaw–Poznań route and a northern rail exit towards the planned CMK Północ (CMK North) line.

The contract engineer will supervise delivery under a design-and-build model, covering oversight of construction design development, verification and acceptance of works, settlement processes and support in obtaining administrative approvals and permits. The wider “CPK Railway Node” has been divided into three packages and will be built in stages, aiming to provide new east–west and north–south connections across central Poland.

Under the current Port Polska schedule, the first section of the Warsaw–Łódź high-speed line is expected to enter service before the end of 2032, aligned with the planned airport opening. Further sections towards Poznań and Wrocław are planned for completion by the end of 2035.
