Future of Rail: XIV International Congress in Wisła

From March 12–14, 2025, the XIV International Railway and Intermodal Congress will bring together top leaders and experts in Wisła to explore innovations, tackle challenges, and discuss the future of rail transport.

The programme of this congress includes panels focusing on the new geography of intermodal supply chains in Europe and Poland. Discussions will cover changes in the flow of goods, new transport corridors and the challenges logistics operators face in a rapidly changing geopolitical and economic environment. The programme will also include practical information on available rail and intermodal financing options that can facilitate the implementation of strategic investments.

During the Congress, key issues affecting the development of rail and intermodal transport will be discussed, such as:

  • Innovative technologies in the construction, maintenance and operation of railway control equipment.
  • Problems and challenges of rail freight, including opportunities to increase the efficiency and competitiveness of this sector.
  • The new geography of intermodal supply chains in Europe and Poland, which are changing the way transport is planned.
  • Funding opportunities for rail and intermodal transport - where to look for support, what are the current programmes and funding rules?
  • Condition of railway infrastructure - what is happening in the area of its development, modernisation and maintenance?

One of the other points of the congress will be also an analysis of the state of railway infrastructure in Poland - from modernisation, to maintenance, to plans for its expansion. At the end of the congress, participants will take part in a debate on "Innovations becoming reality", during which they will discuss with industry leaders the practical application of the latest technologies in rail and intermodal transport.
