As part of its restructuring, the group has initiated a transformation program aimed at standardizing processes across its markets.

BLS Cargo has implemented a new group management structure as of November 1, 2024. The initiative centralizes overall leadership for the company’s operations across Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, and Italy, while retaining national companies' responsibility for location-specific and regional matters.

The newly formed group management includes key leadership roles:

  • CEO of the Group: Dirk Stahl
  • Head of Sales Group: Dirk Pfister
  • Head of Production Group: Markus Zgraggen
  • Head of Asset Management Group: Marco Pagani
  • Head of Finance Group: Marco Guntern
  • Head of Staff/Communications Group: Stefanie Burri
  • Head of Security Group: Roland Rieder
  • HR Partner Group: Roger Schwizer

The management team, including an extended group of specialized roles, will oversee operations and coordination across multiple countries.

Processes standardization program is intended to simplify operations and improve consistency. The adjustments are aligned with the objective of providing integrated services and optimizing customer experience through streamlined coordination.
