VlakFest

VlakFest is a travel and rail project that organises train events and trips in the Czech Republic and abroad. Travels with us are ideal for anyone who has an adventurous heart, wants to discover unknown and untrodden places, doesn't mind improvising on the fly, can survive occasional discomfort and is warm to people both familiar and unfamiliar.

We got together in 2019 to organize a music and travel festival on the ŽiWELL Express. The festival is now an established event, where we travel around the Czech Republic and Slovakia by train for four days, listening to travel lectures and singing along to concerts by great bands. Subsequently, we also started to organize travel events, visiting Ukraine, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, Poland and other countries several times. Some events are more adventurous than others - we regularly set off on a journey into the unknown, where travellers only find out the night before where they will wake up in the morning. In 2021 we undertook a carriage conversion, creating a unique sauna carriage. We are formally and legislatively backed by the transport company Gepard Express, SE.
