Baltic Port Services GmbH is a recognised specialist workshop in Sassnitz / Neu Mukran whose range of services includes the maintenance and servicing of all types of rail vehicles. The workshop originally specialised in the overhaul of freight wagons, but continues to expand its range of services for rail vehicles.

The large workshop site in the port of Sassnitz has four pit tracks of 50 m each, a lifting system of up to 4 x 30t, cranes (2 x 8t), shunting and diagnostic equipment as well as a mobile crew.

Baltic Port Services Gmbh offers a comprehensive range of services in the field of operational or heavy maintenance, modernisation of rail vehicles or in the field of conversion or remotorisation.

All services are provided in accordance with §§ 32 and 33 of the EBO.

The team in the on-site workshops has many years of experience in the field of rail vehicle maintenance and works competently and reliably.

Services within the scope of heavy maintenance:

  • General inspection of rail vehicles
  • Replacement of various vehicle components (engines, fans, axles, etc.)
  • Carrying out welding work
  • Rheostat adjustments
  • Execution of non-destructive material testing
  • Measurement and repair of vehicle frames and bogie frames
  • Repair after accidental or violent damage

Modernisation work

  • Assembly and installation of train radio systems, Indusi systems or EBuLa
  • Installation of tachographs or radio remote controls
  • Modernisation and installation of pre-heating systems, electrical systems, locomotive control systems or braking systems
