Nevomo has partnered with Umeandus Technologies to implement a solution to boost the capacity and efficiency of India's ports, railways, and freight facilities.

Nevomo, a pioneer in MagRail technology, has partnered with Umeandus Technologies, an Indian innovator in Automated Container Evacuation Systems (ACES). The collaboration will test and deploy advanced technologies to significantly improve the virtual capacity of India's ports, railways, and freight distribution networks.

The partnership will focus on integrating Nevomo's MagRail Booster technology with Umeandus Technologies' e-FTS, Carri-Port and Directport solutions to transform India's land transport and logistics infrastructure. “Technology intervention is important to achieve resource optimization for the sustainable circular economy. Umeandus’s efforts are focused on enhancing land and space productivity, and reducing the energy intensity of surface transportation especially for freight in helping achieving net zero targets faster”, said Rajeev Chanan-CEO & MD Umeandus Technologies.

The introduction of MagRail Booster technology is expected to significantly increase the capacity, performance, and sustainability of India's ports, providing a cost-effective solution to support the country's goal of becoming a $5 trillion economy by 2027 and the world's third-largest economy. The partnership promises to provide the additional infrastructure capacity needed for the fast, efficient, and clean movement of goods and materials critical to the emerging trade corridor between India, the Middle East, and Europe.

Harj Dhaliwal, Chief Business and Capital Programmes Officer at Nevomo, emphasized the importance of upgrading existing infrastructure with 21st-century technology. “This collaboration between India and Poland, exemplifies the cooperative effort envisioned to support the trade link announced during last year's G20 Summit which consists of a crucial land sea-bridge corridor to enable the smooth flow of trade and bolster supply chain resilience necessary to strengthen trade ties between India, the European Union.”
