IPE Locomotori 2000 has completed the ninth locomotive of its G1001 series developed in cooperation with Vossloh Locomotives.

The IPE G1001 is a standard-gauge, bidirectional diesel-hydraulic shunting locomotive designed for heavy shunting and freight operations. The type features a central cab with driving positions at both ends.

The locomotive has a service weight of 80 tonnes and is powered by a 1,200 kW Caterpillar C32 diesel engine. Power is transmitted via a Voith L4r4 gearbox and cardan shafts to Vossloh-supplied bogies. The braking system is supplied by Knorr-Bremse.
