The decision assigns responsibility to both the Minister for Construction and Transport and the Minister for Public Administration and Regional Development to secure the required EU funding and complete the procurement steps.

MÁV is authorised to launch a conditional tender for 78 intercity passenger coaches, financed through commercial bank loans with a minimum 10% own contribution. In parallel, the company is instructed to pursue an in-house procurement of 10 additional intercity coaches from Magyar Vagon, using internal MÁV Group resources.
