In November 2025, Bulgarian Railway Company EAD added two renovated diesel & electric locomotives to its operational fleet.
The refurbishments were carried out by Express Service OOD. The company oversaw repair and modernization works. With completion of the overhauls, both machines are now certified for freight service under the operator’s management.
The project formed part of an investment coordinated by the Grampet Group, with backing from the parent company Grup Feroviar Roman. These entities supported the allocation of resources required to undertake the restoration and reactivation of the locomotives.
