Half of the fixed order for 10 locomotives was delivered and deployed by two customers.

CARGOUNIT has initiated deliveries under its framework agreement for Dragon 2 locomotives with Newag by deploying the first five E6ACTadnb units. The DC locomotives, which are equipped with a diesel access module, are part of a contract signed in mid‑2023 for 10 six‑axle electric locomotives, with an option for 20 additional units.

The first three locomotives from this batch have entered service with Orlen Kolej, while two units are now operating under Qemetica Cargo. These deployments reflect CARGOUNIT's strategic approach to supplying multisystem or DC electric traction with first-mile diesel capabilities to rail freight operators requiring flexible rolling stock for non-electrified terminal or industrial tracks.

All units delivered are part of Newag’s Dragon 2 platform, designed for heavy freight operations across Poland and neighbouring countries. The locomotives are tailored for carriers with industrial clients, such as Orlen and Qemetica, which benefit from the locomotives' dual-mode traction capability.

The remaining units under the initial firm order are expected to follow in line with operator demand. CARGOUNIT retains the option to expand the order to a total of 30 locomotives under the terms of the framework contract.
