UK’s ROSCO Porterbrook has provided passenger rail operator c2c twelve 5-car Alstom Aventra electric multiple units.

Trenitalia-owned British passenger rail operator c2c will gradually introduce to service 12 new Class 720 trains delivered by Alstom (former Bombardier) under the Aventra brand. They have been manufactured in Alstom’s Derby facility and will circulate on c2c’s network in South Essex, coupled in pairs. This way, up to 900 seats will be offered by each trainset. This is a 15% increase compared to the currently used trains.

Newly-delivered trains will diversify c2c’s fleet consisting of over 70 Electrostar units. Aventras are also used on London’s Elisabeth Line, in London Overground, the Greater Anglia, South Western Railway and West Midlands Trains services.
