Since entering the Spanish high-speed rail market at the end of November 2022, the company has moved over 5 million passengers.


In its first year of operation, Iryo, a company within the FS Trenitalia Group passenger hub, has transported approximately 5.2 million passengers, achieving a train occupancy rate of 70%. For the near future, it has bold expansion plans.

The company plans to introduce three new Hitachi ETR1000 high-speed trains by 2026, enhancing its fleet. Additionally, a new route connecting Barcelona and Seville will launch on December 10, expanding the company's network.

Initially, Iryo began services connecting Madrid, Barcelona, and Zaragoza. Following this, on December 16, the company expanded its services to include eleven daily train pairs between Madrid, Valencia, and Cuenca. The expansion continued on March 31, 2023, with routes extending to Seville, Malaga, Antequera, and Cordoba and further to Alicante and Albacete from June 2.

FS Group is not only active in the Spanish market. It also operates Trenitalia France, Avanti West Coast and c2c in the UK, Hellenic Train in Greece, Netinera in Germany, and Qbuzz in the Netherlands. These operations span urban, suburban, medium, and long-distance rail connections.
