Grain hoppers are in the highest demand in history in Europe. The war in Ukraine and the enormous pressure to get Ukrainian grains and oilseeds to the markets and ports is enormous. As data from the Railvis.com platform confirm, wagons capable of hauling grain are the hottest commodities searched for lease and purchase.
Wagon manufacturers naturally reflect this trend, and Greenbrier Europe is busy producing new wagons for grain transportation. It has delivered 40 new Tagnpps wagons, capable of transporting 95 m3 of goods, to Freightliner PL. The Polish rail freight carrier will use them to transport agricultural commodities in Poland and Germany. The east-west direction of these goods will end in German and Dutch ports and customers in Poland. The haulier announced more rolling stock to arrive by the end of this year.
Greenbrier has three types of Tagnpps grain hopper wagons in its product catalogue offering. Apart from the 95 m3 version, there are two bigger ones – 102 m3 and 130 m3.
