MEDWAY keeps investing in new locomotives fleet. The latest acquisition is 15 new Siemens Vectron multisystem locomotives for its MEDWAY Belgium branch.

The global shipping leading company MSC strengthens its position in European railway hinterland transportation. Through its land transportation company, MEDWAY, it has announced it will buy 15 Vectron MS locomotives from Siemens Mobility for its Belgian branch.

From the port of Antwerp and North Sea ports, these locomotives will run in the east-west direction, improving connections and capacity between Belgium, Germany, Netherlands, Austria and Poland, and landlocked central and Eastern areas such as Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia.

MEDWAY Belgium is a licensed rail freight operator in Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, and Austria, with its launch a year ago. It has a stronger presence in Portugal, where it originated, and in Spain and Italy, where it also owns and leases electric and diesel locomotives. The company belongs to the inland logistics branch of MSC, MEDLOG.
