Pasifik Arkas DTI has started mineral transportation services on the Elazığ–İskenderun line in Türkiye. The new rail freight operation links inland mining areas in eastern Anatolia with the Mediterranean port of İskenderun.
The company said the service is intended to provide regular rail capacity for mineral flows supporting industrial production.
The launch follows Pasifik Arkas DTI’s first completed operation two months earlier, when the operator ran an export block train from Halkalı to the Kapıkule border gate. The train consisted of 17 wagons carrying 34 containers.
Pasifik Arkas DTI operates as a joint venture between Pasifik Eurasia and Arkas Holding, with Arkas Rail involved in rail operations. The company uses recently-delivered Stadler EuroDual locomotives for its operations.
