The corridor now offers two departures per day, reflecting higher demand on the Germany–Italy axis.

TX Logistik has increased the frequency of its intermodal services between Duisburg and Milan to 10 trains per week in each direction at the start of 2026, according to the company.

The expanded schedule adds capacity on one of TX Logistik’s core north–south routes, linking the Ruhr area with northern Italy. The operator said the additional services are aimed at industrial and commercial customers requiring regular cross-border rail freight connections.

The Duisburg–Milan route is part of TX Logistik’s international network connecting Germany with Italy via the Alpine corridor. The company operates the service as a rail-based alternative for long-distance freight flows between the two markets.

TX Logistik is a subsidiary of FS Logistix, the freight and logistics arm of Italian state railway group FS.
