The agreement responds to the expanded logistics needs connected to MOL's operations and export activities.

Rail Cargo Hungaria (RCH) has secured a contract to provide traction services on the industrial sidings of MOL’s facilities in Tiszapalkonya and Tiszaújváros.

Under the contract, RCH operates eight train pairs per day on the industrial tracks connected to the two stations, handling the transport of raw materials and products. The company provides continuous 24-hour traction services, using Akiem-leased Traxx diesel locomotives and dedicated locomotive drivers on site.

The Traxx diesel locomotive used in the operations is capable of hauling up to 3,595 tons in a single run, equivalent to 42 fully loaded wagons. This transport capacity corresponds to the volume typically moved by two express freight trains.

RCH’s operational scope at the Tisza sites includes approximately 10,000 wagon movements per month, supported by an average of 240 service runs. The company also deploys technical wagon inspectors and shunting staff at Tiszaújváros station to support the traction and wagon handling processes.

The industrial sidings involved in this contract are part of the logistics chain supporting MOL and MOL Petrochemicals. The traction services also include the distribution of fuel for MÁV diesel locomotives to 29 stations across Hungary. Additionally, RCH participates in transport operations connecting Tiszapalkonya with Slovnaft's plant in Bratislava, Slovakia.
