The company managed both traction and forwarding for the service.

UZ Cargo Poland has carried out its first transport of petroleum products across Polish territory under its own EU railway licence. The operation was conducted in cooperation with LTG Cargo Polska and used wagons owned by Ukrzaliznytsia.

The transport was enabled by obtaining a carrier licence from the Polish railway authority UTK and a safety certificate from the European Union Agency for Railways (ERA). Operational arrangements with Polish infrastructure manager PKP PLK allowed UZ Cargo Poland to begin activity as an authorised railway carrier within the European Union.

The delivery moved along the corridor linking Lithuania, Poland, and Ukraine, supporting transit of fuel-related cargo.

Rolling stock used in the operation was provided by Ukrzaliznytsia. The service was executed in coordination with LTG Cargo Polska, the Polish branch of the Lithuanian freight operator. The partnership enabled the use of existing cross-border logistics capabilities to move goods through central European territory.

This move positions UZ Cargo Poland to perform rail freight services directly in EU member states under EU certification. The company’s access to Polish infrastructure extends potential transit routes for cargo flows between Ukraine and the Baltic states.
