The block train, carrying 55 forty-foot containers of mixed cargo, departed from China and crossed Kazakhstan, the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan and Georgia on its way to Europe.

ADY Express, a subsidiary of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, together with Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, headquartered in Germany, successfully completed their first joint cargo transport via the Middle Corridor.

The block train left Chongqing, China, on its way to Europe via Kazakhstan, the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan and Georgia. The train consisted of 55 forty-foot containers of mixed cargo. It passed through Azerbaijan before heading to Georgia. The goods are divided among several locations.

Part of the cargo, destined for Georgia and Eastern Europe, will reach its final destinations via the Georgian port of Poti. It will then cross the Black Sea to the port of Constanța (Romania). The rest of the cargo, destined for Turkey and Germany, will travel via the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) railway. It will then continue to Europe by rail.

Previously, Hellmann relied on routes through Russia. However, this project marks a significant step towards diversifying the company's logistics solutions. The corridor will reduce transit times. It will bypass congested routes and traditional ports. The cooperation between ADY Express and Hellmann paves the way for more international players to use the Middle Corridor.
