A China-EU train recently departed from Linyi, Shandong, carrying goods to Belt and Road countries, marking over 1.000 trips since the line's launch in 2018.

According to China's General Administration of Customs, the X15104 China-European Union (CEU) train, loaded with steel structure, PVC board, stainless steel pipe, adhesive tape masterbatch and other special products from Linyi (Liyi City), recently slowly departed from the ZhuBaoJi Iron and Steel Logistic Park of Linyi in southeastern Shandong Province, and headed for "One Belt and One Road" countries such as Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, and so on. The cargo totalled 106 TEUs with a value of USD 2.07 million. With the issuance of this train, the China-European liner (Linyi) has reached more than 1.000 arrivals and departures since its inception in 2018.

In 2018, the China-Europe liner (Linyi) consolidation centre was officially put into operation and has so far achieved "one-stop processing and one-stop customs clearance". The consolidation centre has a storage capacity of 5.500 standard containers, and trains from the centre take about 15 days to reach Russia and 20 days to reach Germany. The transport time is a quarter of that of sea transport and the transport cost is a fifth of that of air transport, reducing companies' overall logistics costs by around 10-40%.

Over the past six years, the Linyi Eurasia Liner has become more and more intensive, from only one train per month in the initial stage of operation to the current average of one train per day. At present, the total number of international routes of the liner has reached 24, and the overseas network extensively covers more than 40 cities in 12 countries and regions.
