Raaberbahn Cargo, a subsidiary of GYSEV CARGO, has placed an order for a new Siemens MS A17 Vectron locomotive, announced on April 11. The locomotive is part of the Vectron series, designed to operate across various catenary systems in Europe, thus catering to different electrical standards and enhancing operational flexibility.
This acquisition will aid Raaberbahn Cargo in expanding its freight services across the European rail network, linking Western and Eastern Europe more efficiently. The Vectron model is equipped to handle various electrification systems, which allows it to operate seamlessly across different national rail networks.
With this recent acquisition, Raaberbahn Cargo now operates a total of 19 Vectron locomotives. The addition aims to support the company's logistics capabilities across the continent.
