The successful arrival of the first train carrying nearly 80,000 items promises greater reliability for customers waiting for international orders.

Ukrposhta has successfully implemented a new logistics solution to deliver international mail in Ukraine, cooperating with Estonian National Post Omniva, Slovakian company Interport and Ukrzaliznytsia. The inaugural test delivery witnessed the arrival in Kyiv of three wagons loaded with almost 80,000 parcels from global marketplaces, including Chinese online stores.

"For the first time since 2002, we have accepted international mail via freight wagons. This has been made possible thanks to Ukrzaliznytsia and Estonian Post, our main transit partner in delivering parcels from global marketplaces, including Chinese online stores," said Ukrposhta.

The new rail-based delivery system provides a robust solution to the challenges faced at the borders with Poland and Slovakia, including long queues at open road checkpoints. Transporting parcels across the border by rail in just one day is in stark contrast to the delays often experienced by road.

This new method of transport is set to revolutionize the delivery process for Ukrposhta, providing a reliable alternative not hindered by the prevailing situation at the border. It ensures that any volume of parcels can be delivered efficiently to Ukrposhta's customers, improving the overall customer experience and reliability of the service.
