BlockTrains

Bulk Logistics

• Management of bulk block‑train shipments across Europe, with optional wagon leasing and full traction services (spot trains included).

Milestones & Network Expansion

• 1999: ChemOil AG founded as SBB Cargo’s specialized rail logistics arm for hazardous goods.
• 2004: Initiated SBB Cargo's first open-access international trains.
• 2006: Launched wagon-load services beyond Swiss borders.
• 2011: Introduced ChemLink, the first alternative European wagon-load network connecting Germany and Italy. Today, they operate from a finely woven logistics network across Europe, leveraging the strengths of their parent SBB Cargo.
• 2015: starting agar buisness with sugar beets and grain bocktrains
• 2023: France connected to chemlink-network
• 2026: takeover from SBB Cargo CH domestic agar traffic switzerland
