Eurostar has resumed its direct services between Amsterdam and London, with operational adjustments and phased capacity increases scheduled throughout 2025. From February 10, three daily services will run on weekdays and Sundays, with two on Saturdays. The capacity per train from Amsterdam has been set at 400 passengers, with further changes planned in the coming months.
A temporary closure of the Amsterdam Centraal terminal is scheduled from March 30 to April 22 to allow for platform renovations. After reopening, the maximum passenger capacity per train from Amsterdam will rise to 600, with an additional 160 from Rotterdam. By September, this is expected to reach 650 passengers per train.
Coinciding with the service resumption, a new UK Terminal at Amsterdam Centraal has been introduced. The facility incorporates energy-efficient design elements, including carbon-negative flooring, an A+ energy rating, and recycled materials. Passenger areas include various seating configurations, real-time information displays, and Wi-Fi connectivity. Additional amenities such as a café and water stations have also been integrated into the terminal.
The reinstatement of direct services follows coordination between Eurostar, UK Border Force, and Dutch authorities. Capacity increases will be implemented in stages as infrastructure adjustments at Amsterdam Centraal progress.
