Renfe has announced the availability of nearly 7,545,000 seats on its High Speed and Long-Distance trains for the summer season, from July 1 to September 15. With an extensive network of more than 22,450 trains in circulation, the company is addressing the heightened travel demand during the summer holidays.
This summer's top 3 sought-after destinations in Spain by rail include:
- Andalusian coast
-
Valencian Community
-
Costa Brava
To cater to this demand, Renfe has introduced two daily AVE trains operating directly between Malaga, Alicante, and Murcia. These new services also provide connections between Malaga and cities such as Cuenca, Albacete, Elche, and Orihuela.
The increase in train frequencies and destination options has led to a gradual rise in passenger numbers. The introduction of S106 units has allowed for the reallocation of resources, enabling new services in nine autonomous communities.
This includes the debut of AVE services in Asturias and additional AVE routes in Galicia. The Avlo S106, known for its high capacity, now serves routes connecting Madrid, Zaragoza, Catalonia, Valencia, and Murcia.
