Core Activities and Capacities

1. Wagon maintenance, repair and manufacturing of new wagons

• Heavy Maintenance (Overhaul): Comprehensive inspection and repair of 1,000–1,200 freight wagons annually, in full compliance with ÖBB standard, VPI, and AVV regulations on 8200 m2 workshop area.
• Light Maintenance of 800 freight wagons per year, based on specific customer requirements or ad-hoc needs on 1700 m2  workshop area.
• Manufacturing wagons: Hbbillns, Faccns, Sggrrs, Sgns
• Design and manufacture of wagons: Sgnss-y, Sggmrrss-y, Eanos, Rnoos-uz

• TS Hungaria’s own design and development is the „double decker” wagon for wheelset transport.

• 6 pieces were manufactured in 2025

 2. Wheelset maintenance and assembly

• Equipped with cutting-edge technology, the wheelset workshop handles the maintenance and assembly of approximately 13,000 wheelsets annually using highly automated production lines. The workshop is utilized with two high-performance profile lathes, a boring machine and ultrasonic wheel washing equipment. We have a  painting hall with an airtight paint booth has been set up.
• The wheelset workshop carries out the following maintenance levels: IS0, IS1, IS2, IS3, IL

3. Component repair

The company execute the refurbisment and modification of approximatelly  15 000 railway components per year. For example: buffers, draw gears, screw couplings, brake slack adjusters, sliders

4. Engineering

Our engineering team utilizes the latest industry technologies:

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for stress and structural testing.
• Mobile 3D Scanning and Reverse Engineering.
• Rapid prototyping and welded structure design.
• 3D printing

Processes are guaranteed by a comprehensive quality management system, including ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, as well as specialized welding (EN 15085).

5. Design and manufacturing of steel structures

Our company has an experienced engineering team and skilled professionals in order to design and manufacture steel structures for our customers’ requests.
