Electric locomotives leasing company RAILPOOL and Railnova, a fleet management and predictive maintenance company, will equip 57 RAILPOOL locomotives with remote condition monitoring equipment, Railster.

Both companies have signed a framework agreement, a result of which will be equipping 57 out of more than 440 RAILPOOL locomotives with Railnova’s devices. The patented Railster telematic equipment provides real-time access and processing of data on any rolling stock.

The 4G compatible (and 5G ready) equipment will allow RAILPOOL to work with data in a timely manner for better reliability of its fleet and faster decision-making. The first customers, who already have these devices installed on their Alstom TRAXX locomotives, are Lineas and BLS Cargo, joint clients of the two companies.
