TX Logistik has announced the procurement of 115 T3000 double pocket wagons for its intermodal transport operations.

Double-pocket wagons from Slovakian manufacturer Tatravagonka were ordered to keep up with the intermodal transport demand. The delivery should be done as early as the end of summer 2023.

T3000 pocket wagons can transport both semitrailers and containers and are increasingly becoming the standard choice for intermodal transport, equipped with a 30-foot container suspension, rapid-acting brakes, and cutting-edge thermostable wheel sets. These wagons, with a maximum speed of 120 km/h, can also handle non-cranable semitrailers using the NIKRASA system.

TX Logistik strives to transport half of its intermodal transports in its own wagons. The scarcity of rolling stock in the intermodal sector posed a threat to handle the increased demand. The new order will enable TX Logistik to respond more flexibly to intermodal inquiries within its extensive European network.

TX Logistic belongs to the Gruppo FS Italiane via its rail freight company, Mercitalia.
