This hub will be based on a railway siding. The project is funded by the European Executive Agency for Climate, Infrastructure and Environment.

As part of the project, a railway siding will be built to connect Pyrzowice Airport to the central railway line via railway line 182 Zawiercie - Tarnowskie Góry.

The core of the investment will be a rail unloading front for the loading and unloading of goods and fuels, which will be adjacent to three 1,000 m³ tanks and tank wagon unloading bays. In the part of the interchange located in the restricted area of the airport, refuelling stations for airport tankers will be built.

The total budget of the project is estimated at PLN 95.5 million (€21.1 million), of which up to 50% of the eligible costs will be subsidised by the European Union under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) 2021-2027 Military Mobility. The project is scheduled to be completed in June 2026.
