Porterbrook, a UK rolling stock company, has recently introduced a new Asset Management Facility (AMF) at the Long Marston Rail Innovation Centre.

Porterbrook acquired the site in 2021 and plans to upgrade the 135-acre location into a hub for rail innovation. The recent facility is a part of this program. Previously dilapidated sheds have been converted by Porterbrook into the modern AMF, providing customers with space for various maintenance and upgrade activities. These include modification and refresh work and comprehensive on-train and underframe tasks, such as inspections, testing, commissioning, and customer acceptance processes.

There are three pitted railway lines within the facility. Each can accommodate multiple units with a length of up to six cars. Additional benefits for AMF customers include access to the site's test loop and mainline, delivery options via rail or road, round-the-clock security measures, ample storage space, and access to office spaces.
