The newly-founded Paris-based AITX Rail Europe plans to expand its portfolio and partnerships focused on customer needs within the European wagon market. To support the platform, AITX has named Mahindhann Krishnapillai as its head.
Krishnapillai has over 15 years of operational and technical experience across several European rail leasing and repair leaders. This includes VTG France, where he was Operations Director overseeing fleet management and maintenance business.
In addition to Krishnapillai, Dan DiStefano, an industry veteran, supports the Europe platform as Operating Partner. DiStefano was President at CIT’s NACCO for over five years, where he oversaw all rail operations and growth, working alongside Krishnapillai.
By launching a European wagon platform, AITX aims to bring its capital and in-depth rail industry expertise to the European market. American Industrial Transport (AITX), is specialising in wagon leasing and repair. It is headquartered in Saint Charles, Missouri. It offers wagons solutions for industries in energy, chemical, agriculture and minerals industries.
