With effect from 1 July, Klaus Wessing will be the new Head of Sales and Operations at VTG GmbH. He will report directly to Sven Wellbrock, Chief Operating Officer Europe & Chief Safety Officer.
In his new role, Wessing, a logistics specialist by profession, will oversee the European sales activities for the company's leasing, transport and logistics services. He is already Managing Director of VTG Tanktainer GmbH and will also assume this position for VTG Rail Europe GmbH and VTG Rail Logistics GmbH.

Klaus Wessing has worked in the logistics industry for more than 35 years, during which time he has acquired a wealth of industry expertise. He joined VTG in April 2021 as Managing Director of VTG Tanktainer GmbH. Prior to this appointment, he held senior positions in various corporate groups and joint ventures, including as Head of Logistics at HELM AG, where he led a team of more than 40 people. Before that, he was Director Operations and HSSEQ at Alfred Talke GmbH & Co. KG, where he was responsible for business development, key account management and all operational activities of the company.
In addition to his duties at VTG, Wessing is also treasurer and member of the executive committee of the European Chemical Transport Association (ECTA) in Brussels.
