Knorr-Bremse has signed a comprehensive service contract with Stadler for the maintenance and supply of spare parts for various train fleets throughout Europe until the end of 2028, with an option to extend.
Under the terms of the agreement, Knorr-Bremse RailServices will provide maintenance, repair, and spare parts for the braking systems installed in long-distance, regional, and local trains in multiple European countries. The contract includes a detailed plan for overhauling more than 20,000 brake callipers, ensuring long-term operational smoothness and safety.
“This major service contract represents a new phase in our long-term relationship with Stadler. We’re delighted to be able to contribute to even higher levels of train availability, safety and efficiency by providing service solutions that cover the entire life cycle of large train fleets operating across multiple European markets,” said Frank Uder, Vice President RailServices.
The services will be provided by local RailServices experts based close to the customers, including in Switzerland, Germany and Hungary. This proximity enables Knorr-Bremse to meet Stadler's service requirements quickly and with the quality expected from Knorr-Bremse.
